Ethics is not new—ethics is fundamental to civilization. As the law on its own cannot create safety, we also need established and shared standards of right and wrong that enable societies to function collaboratively and sustainably and create social cohesion.
It is the same for coaching ethics. The code of 2025 establishes 24 standards but is adjudicatable in its entirety. It also expressly states that ethical behavior goes beyond the code.
This program will explore the importance of ethics for coaches and the coaching profession. We will focus on the code of ethics 2025 and what it means for coaches and their professional practice.
