Dear Coaching Community,
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in and supported International Coaching Week this year. From the sessions and conversations to the energy and generosity shared across the week, it was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate and showcase the value of coaching.

Nominations for this year’s Annual Awards are now open. We encourage you to recognize and celebrate coaching impact. You will find more information in this newsletter.
In the coming weeks, you will also receive more information regarding Board nominations. We will be onboarding new Board members during our Annual Meeting in September, and we encourage members interested in contributing to the future of the chapter through leadership and service to keep an eye out for upcoming communications.

Dear Mentor Coaches,
ICF recently announced the upcoming Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS) requirements for mentor coaches who wish to continue providing mentoring services in 2027 and beyond.
What’s New
Beginning January 1, 2027, credential candidates will be required to work with mentor coaches who have earned the MCS designation. Coaches who wish to continue offering mentor coaching services for credentialing candidates in 2027 and beyond will therefore need to complete the MCS process before January 1, 2027. |

To obtain the specialization, mentor coaches will complete additional training and assessment requirements based on their prior mentoring education and experience. Share your Perspective As our coaching community prepares for these developments, ICF Toronto is inviting mentor coaches to participate in a short SURVEY to help us better understand community awareness, perspectives, and experiences related to the new requirements. The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete, and your input will help support ongoing community dialogue, learning, and engagement around the evolving coaching landscape. Please submit your responses by May 25. |

The 2026 ICF Toronto Chapter Awards Gala will be held this Fall!
Once again, we will come together to celebrate and recognize outstanding coaches, leaders, and changemakers who continue to make a meaningful impact within the coaching profession and our broader community.
We invite you to get involved and help make this a truly memorable event by taking the first crucial step — submitting your nominations.
We are also excited to introduce enhancements inspired directly by the valuable feedback and input shared by our community.
Your Voice Shaped This - Big Changes Are Coming to the ICF Toronto Annual Awards!
At ICF Toronto, we believe in the same thing we coach our clients to do, listen deeply, reflect honestly, and grow intentionally. And that's exactly what we did with our Annual Awards.
You told us the process felt complicated. You asked for something simpler, more engaging, and more focused on what matters most - coaches and the incredible work they do.
We listened.
This year, we're streamlining the awards into three meaningful categories:
PRIZM Award | Recognizing coaches making a powerful impact within organizations, the Award winner’s Client Organization may also be recognized and receive the Award.
Coaching Excellence Award | Celebrating coaches creating transformation one person at a time.
Volunteer of the Year | Honouring the hearts behind our chapter's vibrant community.
All nominations will be thoroughly considered, and the winners will be chosen by the Judging Panel.
And this is just Phase 1.
Next year, 2027, we're planning to put the power in your hands: the top nominees selected by our Judging Panel will be presented to a chapter-wide members vote, so you will decide who wins.
For Now, we need you to take a few minutes and nominate a coach who deserves to be seen by filling out simple and short nomination form.
Think of someone whose work has moved people, shifted thinking, or quietly changed lives. That person deserves a spotlight, and you're the one who can give it to them.

International Coaching Week (ICW) 2026
|
International Coaching Week (ICW) 2026, held from May 11–17, has officially concluded and what an incredible week it was!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 16 events hosted by the ICF Toronto Chapter this year. Your engagement, curiosity, and commitment to growth helped make ICW 2026 a meaningful celebration of the coaching profession.
We are especially grateful to our coaches who thoughtfully designed and facilitated these events, generously sharing their expertise, insights, and experiences while challenging us all to continue to grow as coaches. Through their contributions, they also showcased the depth of talent within our coaching community to audiences across the globe.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to our volunteers whose dedication and behind-the-scenes support ensured every event ran smoothly and successfully.

Coast-to-Coast Pro Bono Coaching Challenge
|
|
|
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Coast-to-Coast Pro Bono Coaching Challenge hosted by the ICF Los Angeles Chapter during April 1 and May 17, 2026
As of last week, our community had already recorded 67 coaching hours, and we anticipate that number will continue to grow as final submissions are completed following the May 17 challenge close date.
This is a reminder that all pro bono coaching hours must be submitted by May 22, 2026 in order to be included in the final challenge results.

ICF Toronto Hub Events – The Celebration Continues
Although ICW 2026 has come to a close, the celebration continues through our upcoming ICF Toronto Hub In-Person events taking place throughout May and June.
These local Hub events provide another wonderful opportunity to connect, learn, and continue meaningful coaching conversations within our communities and organizations.
Many of our Hubs are hosting special ICW-themed events, extending the spirit and impact of International Coaching Week beyond the official celebration week. We encourage you to register for a Hub event near you through the ICF Toronto Chapter website.
As part of the celebration, non-coach guests are welcome to attend ICW-themed Hub events FREE of charge during May and June.
Thank you for celebrating coaching with us and helping make ICW 2026 such a success. We look forward to continuing this momentum together and creating even more impactful experiences for our community in the year ahead. |
