PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Celebrating Impact, Shaping the Future

June 2026

Dear Coaching Community,

As we head into the summer months, I hope you find time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the season. I wanted to share a few updates from the chapter and some things to look forward to in the months ahead.

Board nominations are now open, and I encourage members interested in contributing to the future of the chapter to consider putting their name forward. While some Board appointments took place earlier this year as part of our governance transition, Board onboarding will now occur following our Annual Meeting in September under our ONCA-aligned cycle. Serving on the Board is an opportunity to contribute to the coaching profession through service and leadership.

International Coaching Week was a tremendous success this year. Thank you to everyone who contributed as presenters, volunteers, and participants.

Over the summer, the Board will be focused on strengthening our chapter operations and upgrading several of our systems and processes to better support members and improve the overall chapter experience. More information on these updates will be shared ahead of September.

I am also pleased to share that planning is underway for our Annual Awards and a smaller Leadership Summit this October. These events will celebrate coaching impact, recognize contributions across our community, and create space for shared learning. We encourage you to submit your nominations for the Awards.

Wishing you a good summer ahead, and I look forward to reconnecting with many of you in the months to come.

Warm regards,

Abirambika Ravivarman

The 2026 ICF Toronto Chapter Leadership Impact Summit & Awards Gala will be held this October, 2026. Date and location will be announced shortly, Follow the ICF Toronto Charter Chapter Company Page on LinkedIn and stay tuned for the upcoming posts and email blast!

Have you noticed that this year’s annual event name is not only Awards Gala?

We are curating a Leadership Impact Summit in the afternoon along with the Awards Gala in the evening. This event will bring our Coaches, Corporate guests to connect and learn together in addition to our annual celebration of our outstanding coaches, leaders, and changemakers who continue to make a meaningful impact within the coaching profession and our broader community.

We invite you to get involved and help make this a truly memorable event by taking the first crucial step — submitting your nominations.

As shared in May’s Newsletter, we are excited to introduce enhancements inspired directly by the valuable feedback and input shared by our community.

Your Voice Shaped This - Big Changes Are Coming to the

ICF Toronto Annual Awards!

This year, we're streamlining the awards into three meaningful categories:

PRIZM Award - Recognizing coaches making a powerful impact within organizations, the Award winner’s Client Organization may also be recognized and receive the Award.

Coaching Excellence Award - Celebrating coaches creating transformation one person at a time,

Volunteer of the Year - Honoring the hearts behind our chapter's vibrant community.

All nominations will be thoroughly considered, and the winners will be chosen by the Judging Panel.

And this is just Phase 1.

Next year, 2027, we are planning to put the power in your hands: the top nominees selected by our Judging Panel will be presented to a chapter-wide members vote, so you will decide who wins.

We need you to take a few minutes and nominate a coach who deserves to be seen by filling out a simple and short nomination form.

Think of someone whose work has moved people, shifted thinking, or quietly changed lives. That person deserves the spotlight, and you are the one who can give it to them.

Nominations are now open until June 26,2026! Don't let this moment pass! You can find nomination form HERE.

And if you’d like to take an active role in the decision-making process and become this year’s Judging Panel member, please reach out directly to the Panel co-lead Jenny Barkan via email coach@jennybarkan.com.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
